uses consists of putting a single > mark in front of a
paragraph.  It really really is inadequate.  I mark
the GM's posts with a line of astericks and make mine
distinguishable by having at least one space between
my posts and the astericks.

Hmmm. The email handler is automatically adding the > chars, but from 
now on I will follow this protocol uinless I forget that Netscape just 
added the formatting.
