Re: Going to the Manor

For Michael's benefit, the quotation system Yahoo mail
uses consists of putting a single > mark in front of a
paragraph. It really really is inadequate. I mark
the GM's posts with a line of astericks and make mine
distinguishable by having at least one space between
my posts and the astericks.

Thus

Othneil agreed with Lisa to follow the priest and
discover what he had to say about the murder.

Once they were allow out of the city, the priest led
them south-west, on a dirt trail that headed toward
the distant mountains. As they walked, he began to
explain a little more.

"I don't know if you know this or not, but the murder
you're trying to solve is merely one of many that I
have had the unhappy lot to know about. There is a
group working in the shadows here in Glenfet who have
killed a number of people who stood in their way."

"I got involved against my will, I became indebted to
one of these men and my only way out now is for you to
protect me while in turn I help you track down and
bring these men to justice."

The priests house was a large stone manor surrounded
by a hedge. Most of the narrow windows were covered
with rough wooden shutters. He led the way to a
wooden gate in the hedge.

A guard opened the manor door, actually a short
reptilian creature, and the priest motioned for them
to follow him in.

"Come in, I have some papers I think you would like to
see."

Lisa enters. "I would think the first question we
need answered is what ties the various victims
together? I know, who the killers are and where they
can be found is important, but I think the first
priority is protecting the next victims just in case
knowing who they are and where they reside isn't
sufficient to apprehend them."

OOC: I'm pleased to introduce a new player now,
Michael, who is playing a Lizardman character named
Thrash. He starts out as a bodyguard for this Priest
of Heca.
